TJ Sabula, a 40-year-old UAW worker at the Ford auto plant in Dearborn, tells the Washington Post that he has no regrets yelling an insult to President Trump during his visit to the plant on Tuesday.
Sabula, who says that he's been suspended pending an investigation, told The Post:
“As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever,” he said. But he added that he's concerned about his job and believes he has been “targeted for political retribution” for “embarrassing Trump in front of his friends.”
TMZ posted a video of the incident, reporting that Sabula yelled "pedolphile protector," an apparent reference to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Trump responded by saying "Fuck You," and flipping him the bird.
Sabula tells The Post he identifies as politically independent. He said he never voted for Trump, who has run three times for president, but has supported other Republicans.
Trump later went on to speak at the Detroit Economic Club, a venue he last spoke at in October 2024, shortly before the election.
